A while back I posted about starting an achievement system that I called rings to improve my gameplay, give titles more of a fair chance at winning my favor, and reduce the amount I'm spending versus enjoying titles. If you don't recall or didn't see this post its here:

A few of you mentioned being interested in doing the same thing or something similar. So I thought I might post the list of achievements for a game in case anyone else wanted to join in. For me, I need at least three rings before I can "unlock" another game. You need not worry about this aspect unless you want to. Please post when you complete a task and maybe we will end up with some friendly competition (finally. Way to many failed attempts here at getting something like that going.)

ALTERED BEAST
Rings:

1. "Hungry Like The Wolf" - Beat the game by any means necessary (you may extend the life bar, total lives, and use the continue cheat. The only limitation here is that you must play each level.)

2. "Eye of the Tiger" - Complete the game by any means necessary OTHER than using the continue cheat.

3. "Your a Beast!" - Beat the game in its natural default setting

4. "Score setter" - Play five times, recording your score each time. (the highest score of which becomes your score to beat)

5. "Score Breaker" - Beat your highest score from "Score setter", then beat that score, beating your own best score a total of ten times.

6. "Double Dragons" - Beat the game in two player mode.

7. "God like" - Beat the game on Hard difficulty setting.

8. "Neff's Revenge" - Beat the game on Hardest difficulty

9. "Don't stop till you get enough" - Beat the challenge mode after the credits.

10. "Lycanthropy" - Beat the game on normal or harder without losing a single life.

NOTE: Unless otherwise stated, the continue technique for this game is considered cheating.

(Also just a heads up, something else I've always wanted to do is collect and play the Genesis library in semi-chronological order, to see hwo things changed. Thats why Altered Beast comes first, being the first pack in in NA. So it may take a while to get your favorites. But feel free to do your own and i may adopt your achievements instead for that game.)
