It's not bullshit. It's one of the only things to use the line, and said game was superfluous given a better version of the game was available for less money.
Anywho, wanna bet that connecting the /DTACK line also allows the 10MB game cart to work? Without a CD, of course - just the 32X.

I guess I don't understand the argument that some wiring forced me into buy Virtua Racing Deluxe. It didn't. Deluxe is an awesome game that I wanted even though I already had the Genesis version. It's not just better looking, it has extra cars and tracks, too.
Slayer-1: "Minus 210 degrees...minus 215...minus 220. Why are you still standing?"
Bones: "My will...will not die."
That doesn't matter. The cost of the 32X must be accounted for since it's an accessory that the game required in order to work.
Virtua Racing + SVP = ~$100
Virtua Racing Deluxe + 32X = ~$210 (after $10 coupon)
You'd need to buy about four ~$50 32X games before the combined cost would sink below $100 per game. Unfortunately, most 32X games were closer to $60 if not more.
Hence why I waited umpteen years for a genesis flash cart that conveniently also loads 32x roms and just bought myself a 32$ for around 40$ shipped....also thanks to tiido and other forum members the 32x turned out to be the ultimate way to get s-video from a genesis.
I really am curious how far the 32x would have gone if sega hadn't dropped support for it. I love my 32x but there's a reason why I waited forever to get one.....mostly lack of amazing games...
Yes, it does matter.
And why are you including the price of VR-SVP? If you have that and like it, just remove the 32X when you want to play it - it's not like the 32X is permanently affixed. It's simplicity itself to pop it off, switch the cable, and you're good to go. It's like ten seconds work, if that much.Virtua Racing + SVP = ~$100

You're just blathering to hear your own voice. You're wrong - accept it and move on.
It would if you had proper evidence to back up your claim.
Because, that $100 cost goes towards both a Virtua Racing ROM and the SVP. They just happen to be included in one standalone package.
Or solder one wire in a few minutes and have one more reason to just leave it hooked up.
You've been covering your ears shouting "I'm right! I'm right! I'm right!", while I've both listened & presented evidence for my claim without attacking you personally. The least you could do is act with the same courtesy.
I've had maaaaany conversations with chilly willy over pm and I can vouch he is nothing but courteous and friendly.
Look - I'm just going to say sorry if I have offended anyone, including chessage. I'm just going to ignore this particular line of the thread at this point. It's detracting from the main point of the thread - you can play VR-SVP on the 32X now!!![]()
