Record some footage from that thing if you can, as well. I'd also like to see what kind of GOAC is used inside the cartridge, so if you can, open it up and take a picture of the circuit board.

And let me know if this thing is shaped like a Japanese/Euro cart or a USA cart,
I'd love to have one (love me some gadgets) but it would need to fit in my Pal Snes.

Also, judging by that Snes handheld I am led to believe they already have Snes on a chip now,
So a Snes adapter for into our Genesis systems should be possible already.

No they don't have a Super NES-on-a-chip design yet. The old TCT-970 series chipset is still used, but in a smaller form factor(the chips are as big as the TCT-6801 GOAC in the RetroN3), which means Super NES clones are still using discrete chips.

You can forget about Virtua Racing compatibility. This is f***ing lame.

I don't think any ROM data is being passed to the SNES. It's probably doing just the bare minimum to suck power and read the SNES joystick ports. You have to understand emulator developers and flash cart makers have hobbled features to NOT let certain commercial homebrew play as a ROM. Meaning, if you had a legitimate backup or your own 64meg homebrew there would still be other issues.

I think enthusiasts will buy this more for the weirdness factor than anything.

I recieved this in the mail today. Every game I tried worked. Color and sound seem to be spot on. It does have it's own AV cable. I can confirm that the Game Genie does work as well does the Everdrive MD. Even Master System games on the Everdrive work. The button mapping is Genesis A = snes Y, genesis B = snes B, genesis C = snes A, genesis X = snes L, genesis Y = snes X, genesis Z = snes R.

The biggest problem I had was flickering at the top of the screen on some games. Sonic and Aladdin seemed to have the most flickering. There was also some major graphics glitches on Super Street Fighter 2. Making it almost unplayable.

The cartridge is the same shape as North American SNES carts. However there are region switches on the side of the Retro Gen.

All in all the Retro Gen is a pretty neat adapter. I don't think it's better than playing on an official Genesis but if your tired of switching out your game systems I say pick one up.

I also want to add that my repo cart of Monster World 4 does work as well does Pier Solar.

I cannot imagine how it could be used for something like that.

If this is the same chipset that's found in their other clone MD systems, anything special that could be done with it could be done with the standalone model.

Wow, this device is just crazy! I would ask who would even want to buy this when you can get a real Genesis for cheap but I know someone that definitely would. He's a real Nintendo fanatic and while I know he likes at least some Genesis games, he still has never bought a Genesis. He would probably love this!

    Genesis

More junky clone crap. Friends don't let friends buy clones. Buy a real Genesis; you'll get accurate colors, sound and gameplay! Just think of the possibilities!

Clones are the worst. This one sounds just like every other piece of shit clone ever devised.
