Default Games You Wish had 1 More Level --- or 1 Less

What Genesis game do you wish had one more level?
What sort of level, why, &c.

    Or had one less?
    Which level &c.

mine: One More Level = Phantasy Star II. Another huge labyrinth, preferably in the early portion of the game and embellishing on Darum/Teim's stuff. Or if much later featuring another laboratory.

One Less Level = Streets of Rage 3. The third I think it was, underground with the trams and the tedious blocking ninjas and just going on and on...A game breaker for me, so dull it doesn't even seem salvageable, the game would just be better off with nothing there.

Comix Zone should have 1 more.
Kid Chameleon should have 20 less.
    This thread needs more... ENGINEERS

    One more level:
+1 Phantasy Star II: Anything that would tell me they didn't die and, most importantly, they kicked them earthling's asses.
Greendog: Preferably, an exchange to an actual final boss, rather than that stupid stone-birded final level.
    Disney's Aladdin: Preferably a part 2 and 3.
Outrun 2019: ...and with an extra order added to the already-awesome OST.
The Ren & Stimpy Show Presents Stimpy's Invention: Specifically, a final boss.

    One less level:
Looping shmups in general (i.e.- Truxton, Fire Shark): Not exactly one less level, just sticking to the one loop . One loop is enough for me. It sucks that I don't get a good ending just because I need to endure the game in a harder mode all over again. NORMAL mode should be enough for a good ending in any game, period; especially shmups.
Looping platformers (Ghouls & Ghosts, anyone?): same concept.

Chuck Rock. 6 levels was way too short for that game
The funny thing about an oxymoron is, even if you remove the ox, there'll always be a moron. The Question Remains: Y?

Castlevania Bloodlines probably needs 2 more stages but I'd settle for just 1.

I'm thinking that Thunder Force III could use an extra level, although the game is awesome the way it is.

Same goes for the Flintstones game. That one only has 6 levels too =/ (to their credit though, each level played completely different yet still all followed the same gameplay mechanics)

I understand what you are saying but I'd still rather have that level than not have it at all. They did put it in the remake so appearently people do like it.

I would go with this, maybe a Thunder Force AC level would have made that game even better.

I think Sonic 1 needed at least two more levels. By Spring Yard Zone I was a complete Sonic Junkie, it didn't matter that it took me months to complete the Labyrinth Zone, I just wanted a lot more. Sonic 2 wasn't the same "feel" for me, so even though it came out before I was done with Sonic 1 it didn't fill the gap for me. Come to think of it, Sonic 3 would seem a lot more complete if it had one more level, preferably some sort of final battle level after the last level even if it was the Death Egg Zone in S&K.

Nothing else really stands out at the moment.

Less Levels = Vectorman 2 (the duplicated levels suck, hurts the game IMO, only need 1 of each)

More Levels = Shadow Squadron (expert players can finish this game in less then 15 mins)

    more = RangerX

It needed some more platforming. I can't think of anything that needed less.

Kid Chameleon needed less levels with more level design effort in each level. So did Sonic CD and Knuckles Chaotix for that matter.

Shadow Squadron is damn near perfect, but if it could go on forever without ever replaying a level I suppose that would be okay.

I wish PSII had one more planet: Palma. I would've preferred a game that completely stayed on Palma to the Neo-Motavia/Dezoris game we got. The last thing PSII needs is one more tedious dungeon.

Wow are we on the same page. Clearly the worst part of the game and if I haven't shut the game off already this is surely when I do. Some people want to use alternate paths as one of SOR 3's strengths I call B.S. This game would be a much better experience with the (subway level or should I call it the industrial piece of shit looking level taken out and having both stage 7's available in a single play through) Having branching paths is nice in theory but when you don't have enough good levels for a single play through I think it's hurts the experience even more.

Games I wish had 1 more level... wow their are a bunch of the Genesis. I like my games to last about 60/90 mins. (This is why I will always feel SOR 2 is the greatest game ever created. I never say darn there should be one more level, I always come away satisfied at the end.)

Shinobi 3- The game was in development forever and they scrapped some nice stage designs that surely could have been used for an extra level to add to the game's short length.

Sonic 1- The game is epic as hell I never want it to end. Always thought it would have been cool to see Jungle Zone from the SMS with a 16-bit adaptation.

Sonic 2- Take one act away from Metropolis and add in Hidden Palace zone. The last 20 mins of Sonic 2 are the reason it can't touch Sonic 1,3orK's.

I wish Phantasy Star IV had a couple more dungeons BEFORE the final dungeon... actually, the final dungeon also could have been a lot bigger too, if you ask me. Maybe even some post game content. That would've been pretty rad. Make an amazing game even amazingester.
