hahahahaha...
Kool Kitty as the main character in a game like Snatcher... Every dialog would have tons of text and technical explanations... Something for the Sega CD, maybe 5 discs would be able to handle it properly.

Funny, from the very outset 'Historical' has sounded to me like nothing but the Old West.
But playing as a tiny band of Ancient Greek rebels trying to prevent Omar II from incinerating the Alexandrian Library would be cool too.
No, I'm just too busy working on Project SF (which does NOT stand for "Super Famicom" (which is abbreviated "SFC", by the way)). Project SF is actually a planned science fiction-themed 2 player RPG for the Mega Drive/Genesis.
djshok: The theme poll will go on for now. You will know when it closes a few days before it happens.
Buy stuff at the Magical Game Factory, WaterMelon's crowd funding video game development site!
Do YOU have any games you want to get rid of that haven't been reviewed on the site and needs to be beaten for the sake of this project? Send 'em to me and I'll review and beat them! I'll pay for shipping of course. Shoot me a PM if you're interested.

George Washington as the bad guy in the French and Indian War. Tribal Americans and French get to battle the evil British Colonial Hordes, humiliating Washington in defeat. It's historical folks. That'll sell!
Maybe make the game Eternal Champions style (premise only, not gameplay) where historical figures are snatched throughout time to fight together against Mr. Big or something like that. Choose from George Washington, Winston Churchill, etc.
Eh, I never got the impression that most of the elites past the early modern era were all that good at fighting. It'd be funny, but they'd all have to look like the fat guys in Streets of Rage.
If historical wins: The Industrial Revolution would make for a decent setting for a brawler. You could play as an urban working class hero out to fight an evil syndicate of corrupt industrialists, and their thugs. Like Streets of Rage but set in industrial Europe. Levels could include unsafe factories, mines, dirty polluted city streets, filthy slaughter houses, munitions plants, tenements, old timey trains, and various historical settings, like some of the monuments you see in Castlevania Bloodlines. The boss could be a mix of Friedrich Engels and Mr. X.
Stuff like this:

That is an awesome idea!
*You must spread some reputation around before giving it to djshok again*.
Streets of Rage: Victorian London edition!Make it so!
the setting should be 80 90s if its a brawler
My Consoles: Nes(toaster), Nes (toploader), Snes, Sega Genesis 2x Model 1 (HD and Va7) , Genesis Model 2 ,Sega Cd model 2 (bois ver 2.00) N64, PS1 , Xbox 1(modded running XMBC) , 2x Xbox360(2 jaspers)
My Handhelds: Sega Game Gear , Nintendo Ds, Sega Nomad (with dpad)
^80s/90s is so far behind it'd take a windfall to put it back in first place.
Still yes, dunno about the rest of you but I'd rather take Cyber Punk. It's just clearly there's too much of a monetary push for historical, unless a bunch of us banded together.

Three young coal mine workers,
One oddly female, and underdressed,
Fed up with life.
prepare themselves for battle
not against flesh and bone
or street thugs
but pinkertons
in the
Mines of Rage
