    Sega CD Model-2 (US)
    Model: MK-4102
    Serial: T30403559
    Made in Japan

    Outer label says:
    Manufactured: H SEPTEMBER 1993 FN 670-3126-01

Bought 2nd hand at FuncoLand ~1996. No obvious sign of tampering. Never any failures, works great, but was not heavily used.
I'd rather not open it, and don't know of any method to identify revision.

I just compared against the chart on the first page, and it's strange, my serial seems to fit into the October range. It's very close to the unit posted by SEGA.GENESIS1989:
    October 1993 ----- T30403166 --- SEGA.GENESIS1989
Mine is T30403559 - just a few hundred away.
But my label reads as above, saying September.

I may be one of the newest members to (re-)join the Sega-16 forum,
but browsing around I see that I may have the oldest Model 1 Sega CD yet found.

I have a Japanese Mega CD Model 1, serial A20001836.

That's a few hundred serials older than Guntz's.

Unfortunately, the manufacturing date is not given on the label on the bottom. Just the serial.
