yeah it's quite unique since i've never really noticed the sticker until now and haven't really seen another with the same decal on the back. I wouldn't really feel comfortable taking it apart since i've never taken apart a sega cd before. oddly enough the refurbished sega cd 2 works better then my other sega cd 2 that I got new in late 96.

OK, after half a year trying to find my Sega CD, I was able to recover it. Its serial number is: A20120578.
    Made in September 1992.

I have a SCD Model 1 of my own to add:

    G20035227

Kind of a nice change of pace from adding other people's serials.

I can't find my third Sega CD, a late model 2 (it's dead so it's possible it's gone).

    Model 1.
    G30034062
    (No date on sticker.)

    Model 2.
    T30276705
    August 1993

    Both are american models.

Heh, it looks like so far I have the oldest Sega CD model 1, based on the serial number.

I think you mean newest. The honor of oldest goes to db-81, who also has the most submitted entries.

Hopefully this list proves useful to someone eventually, like maybe figuring out the BIOS revision in a Sega CD just by using the serial number.

    Oh yea, right.. Newer, lol

I've dumped the BIOS of all mine.. My model 2 that I posted for you uses the 9303 BIOS.. This one has the silver CD spindle.. The dead one, has a black spindle (same as your dead model 2 in the other thread), is a 9306 BIOS.

I trust there's no way to tell which BIOS revisions are which without dumping the mask ROM? Are there any bugs that are fixed in the 9306 version? Would be nice to know if my 1994 SCD2 is better for playing or not.

EDIT: Speaking of the Model 1...
