I was unwilling to pay the $100 price tag I normally see the system with. A year or so ago I came across one for much cheaper, but it would not start at all. At the time I did not know of the fuse fix, otherwise I would have tried it before returning it to the shop I purchased it from. Anyway today I was at a Books & Music Exchange checking out all the awesome retro stuff and while looking at their systems I see a Sega CD 2 system for only $49!!! My prayers have been answered! When I got home, I take it out of it's shrink wrap to see a copy of Eternal Champions still in the player! lol Too bad I already own a copy, but this one is much nicer, looks brand new. I've been playing SCD games on my PC via emulator, but playing it on my computer never felt right. Playing it on the real hardware is where its at for me, so happy days are here again! lol
On a side note, another system there caught my eye. It was a Neo Geo CD with 8 games for $280. Not sure if that's cheap or what, but it's the first time I've seen a Neo Geo in a local store. Now that I have a SCD, I'm now on the hunt for a 3DO and a Jaguar!
