The fictional character Gordon Gekko once stated,"Greed, for lack of a better word, is good". Gekko is sometimes unfairly judged. There is a big difference between maintaining one's moral compass in business and that which operates in one's personal life. In business, the reality is that if you are not willing to crush your competitor, you might as well get out of the game while you're still ahead.
Who cares if PC gamers don't like it. I see this as appealing to non-PC gamers like myself. There are a bunch of games available on Steam that I'd love to play, but all I have is a netbook and no desire to put a gaming pc in my already fairly limited space. This could open up a lot of great games for me.
Meh, when it comes to steam, I'll stick with pc.
A retarded Sonic.
Oh I've followed their exchanges for quite some time. Each time I am reminded of a Mutual of Omaha Wild Kingdom episode where we laid witness to two billy goats butting heads! Ha ha ha ha ha!
With respect to the topic, this news does sound promising. We'll just have to wait and see for Valve to validate the news item.

Has eddie not heard of an HTPC before?
... lol...
I could see this either doing really well or blowing up in valve's faces. While the concept is a good one, we can't forget that historically the only console that did that, the 3DO, failed miserably. So I'll just sit back and see what happens with this one. It will be interesting to see if history repeats itself or not.
Wow, Can we have 1 thread without people bitching about something..
