Shouldl the 32X exist?

I see why people have nothing but bad things to say about the 32X. It's weak, it was a bad idea, I get it. But to the the naive 13 inside my 31 year old body, that silly system will always have a special place in my heart.

It's not THAT weak - it's roughly the same power as a good 486 sans floating point unit, and a decent VESA VGA card. The only thing it REALLY lacks is ram, and as I've mentioned before, I'd bet that 2nd gen 32X games probably would have added ram on the cart to supplement the system ram.

I'm taking a different path - as I get time, I'm slowing working on an SMS emulator for the 32X.

Yeah 64 mb carts along with 4 mb ram added in. The 32X was suppose to be a cost effective that doesn't exactly sounds cost effective.
