In all fairness, didn't the first three movies kinda ruin it? How can you ruin what was ruined nearly two decades ago?

I mean, they went to medieval japan for christ's sake...it's not ruined, its just as inane and moronic as it always was just with CGI...you can't ruin or make it worse it just won't be any better.

Lets not give him the benefit of the doubt: that git is attempting to re-write our childhoods!

If he were a member of this forum I would demand he be banned immediately.

Why think so small? As president you could send a few Marines, or all of them (more fun), to his house. You could make it a campaign promise.

Oh good, we needed another big-budget Turtles movie.

Let's not grieve too much over this, though...on the day the abomination hits theaters, I will simply watch the early 90's TMNT films that were actually good, and dream of a world without Michael Bay. Or Zack Snyder. Or Seltzer and Friedberg.

The only old school cartoon re imagining that has ever worked was He-Man: Masters of the Universe. This new show was true to its 1980's roots with upgrades that were very well needed.

The "new" tmnt cartoon was a spit in the face of every single ninja turtle fan, similar to the spit in the face of every single transformer fan when Bay got his hands on that.

I tell my friends all the time that they will not stop until they destroy every single past pop culture franchise / series. Soon they'll come out with a GEM re imagining where she's a tired eyed hooker that finds a Hologram in a dumpster while look for dinner.

Hardly, the 2003 TMNT cartoon was a great show and much more true to the original comic story then the censored child friendly 80's version,
Growing up on the 80's version you'd think that it would have my preference, but I find it hard to watch these days as its just too.. silly.

That would be Jem, not GEM.

Why did they put the food on these funny little sticks?

Such a laughably bad rendition of He-Man.

I've always wondered why there is this seemingly intense desire for hollywood to take established characters and stories from other media (games, books, cartoons, comics) and completely rewrite/change huge chunks of them. It's one thing to take a little bit of artistic liberty to make it work better as a movie, another to fundamentally alter almost everything about the source material.

And RE:TMNT... if he continues the train wreck course he took with TF, then this will be a huge abomination of jarring cuts, overly complicated and busy action, and irritating characters that have nothing to do with the turtles. I rather liked the first TF movie, not without its flaws, but was not bad.... but he's been driving it off the rails even more with each new movie.

Wait, Aliens? How does that work? They are turtles. The only possible scenario i can think of is that a bunch of alien organisms infested a bunch of turtles. Oh and a rat. And a rhino and a warhog. Which sounds stupid and a good deal less interesting than the original mutation scenario.

Now, the part that had me worried the most however was the "edgy" part.
