yes, this was very hard to come by. As far as the complete Genesis set I think you could complete and just minus OJ, some people don't consider it part of the set, I do which is why I wanted it, but that's a debate for another thread. I am about 170 games away from a complete set and I hopefully next week I can show off a complete as far as I know cardboard box genesis set.

These are my holy grail items:

They are the large Australia box-sets, I only need Batman Forever to own all three.

I guess my holy grail in my collection is my Model 1 HDG and Model 1 SCD combo. They just look so lovely together!

My overall holy grail is probably my Nintendo Gameboy light, or my Gameboy color Pokemon Diamond pirate cart.

As Breetai mentioned, I would be able to get you one. I'll be leaving Korea in May. I have a Korean MD for myself back in the US, so I'd be fine selling the unit I am currently using now.

As far as my own collection, I value my own Korean collection quite highly. I haven't done a full count in a long time, but I've got about 100 boxed/CIB Korean Mega Drive games. The only major releases I'm missing are Snow Brothers and Slap Fight. I've got a small number of other games I'm missing, but none that would be as valuable as those two. If I had to choose personal favorites from my Korean collection, it would probably be Sonic 2 CIB, Shining Force II CIB with translation book, or the two different releases of Ristar (both CIB).

The Landstalker Encyclopedia was my "holy grail" for a long time.
In the midst of the search for that I discovered and purchased the Making of Landstalker book.
That is definately my favorite uncommon item.
Pulseman Electrance music cd is another favorite.

To be honest, I was happy to even find a second hand Sega Genesis, Model 1 a few years ago, after I got back into gaming, after walking away from it for 15 years, when I was 16 years old. I'd still pay a lot for a near mint model one (with High Definition Graphics script), with no scraches on the shiny, black plastic parts. My favorite games for my system are Shining Force 2, Castlevania: Bloodlines and Contra: Hard Corps, and Streets of Rage 2, even if they aren't rare.

I've found a few HDG model 1's here in Columbus but only have found one in good condition. It was in a bag that looked made for it although it was for some kind of audio equipment I believe. The last one I found at Ohio Thrift was pretty scratched up and they wanted $25 with no games and I didn't think that was a good deal at all.

My Pro Action Replay 2 is the only "rare" Mega Drive item I own. It's about the only thing I've had to track down. I can't recall a single time I've seen a nice Model 1 in the past couple of years. They're all pretty rough. I saw a minty Model 2 for sale but I passed because it was the bad sound version.

Well, I don't think I have anything in my collection - from any system - that I would consider a "holy grail", but I've got some stuff that I think is pretty cool.

    - My CIB launch Genesis system (including the pack-in game, Altered Beast), which is my "daily driver".
    - My Copy of Gunstar Heroes. Why? One day I noticed that I didn't have the game anymore. Must have forgotten about foolishly selling it off at some point. Later that day I go over to the used media store just to see what's doing, and find a nice CIB replacement copy - for $3.
    - My Blockbuster Game Factory cart. Just something neat to have, and I got it by trading someone at CGE 2k5 a bunch of common 2600 games for it.
    - My promo copy of Toy Story, which has a blue monochrome printed label and weighs a ton because its chock full o' EEPROMs. Found it at a flea market for $2.
    - My CIB copy of Phantasy Star IV. Because it cost me 50 cents at Goodwill of all places, and was the only gaming-related item in the store that day.

And of course my Everdrive, because those things are awesome.

I saw some Korean Mega-CDs listed on eBay the other day and I'm guessing they're yours. Funky stuff since I'd never seen Korean MegaCDs before.

I recently spent $170 in ebay gift cards for a copy of Snatcher on Sega CD. Totally worth it man.

Loose carts of Ristar and Castlevania: Bloodlines for about $20--credit. And Shining Force II, and and my SG-6 Genesis arcade stick.
