Somebody on this forum would probably sell you one for the right price.

Boxed? are you looking for a model 1 or model 2?

it seems like boxed model 2s go for a little over 300 usd mint, with model 1s costing more.

    FUUUUUCK! Are you serious?!

Wow, I totally got a great deal on mine, I got it last year for $40 in the wild.
Shit, I paid less than $100 for my SMS on eBay.
Where the hell are SegaCDs going for $300!?

I recently got a loose scd2 the other month at a local buy-sell-trade shop for $50. They had a gen2/scd2 combo for $75 (or maybe it was $80?) as well.

$50 was the cheapest I've seen locally. Usually they're closer to $100, which I've always considered too high.

At a local game store I bought a SCD2 with VA7 model 1 genny (I told him I didn't want it but he didn't want it either) for $60 a few months back. I have seen SCD2s on craiglist from $40 to $100 range, though on the cheaper ones they typically sell them before I contact the poster.

Model 2's don't come anywhere near $300. Model 1's might sell for $300 complete - I just bought one mint CIB at auction on eBay with 30 CIB games and a CIB Genny for $330. I bought a CIB Tomcat Alley model 2 for $60 at auction on eBay, and it's one of the rarest model 2 variants.

Yeah, your definition of "complete" is really what we need to know.

If by complete you mean with box and spacers and all the original paperwork it'll probably average around $75 to $100.

If by complete you just mean the unit and plates and spacer(for M2) you're probably looking at about $40-$60, maybe a bit more for a model 1.

The thing that'll add the most to the cost is shipping if buying online. If you can find one locally for around $50-$60 that's a fair price, especially considering you can return it to the store without dealing with shipping if you run into problems.

I'm talking 100 percent mint, like sealed with the pristine box. I've only ever seen a few that looked like that. lol Sorry if i made it seem like just a normal SCD with the non mint box was way more expensive then it really is.

Also the prices might have changed since i last saw any in that condition.

Yes, 40-60 is a fair price, you won't do much better than that.

It had better be really mint, as in never opened before, for that price!!!

A boxed model 2 in good condition should be $100, give or take. $50 is a good deal. $150 is too much.
