Another good Mag thanks.![]()
Just had a new entry in the U-Publish library, the second issue of Retrocade magazine:

Also in other news... PN2 is almost complete! Designers have been working like crazy and the last page designs are almost there. Not much longer now.
My own Retro gaming YouTube channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/Lorfarius
This book looks really cool. It would definitely be a handy reference.
I wrote a news about it on Segakore. (The best french website about Sega) I wanted to say it earlyer, but I couldn't I wasn't validate here.
My Top20 Sega Genesis Soundtrack (It is no longer updated, but it is the only video I made! And it's game by game, not track by track. You can play blindtest.)
Any news as to what might happen to this book now will it still come out or is it dead.
I also would like to know what's going to happen to it as I've made a pre-order.
netpredakonn,
Lorfarious posting following Youtube video about two weeks ago:
Based on the above video, I suspect that he is not proceeding with this project. I would suggest contacting him directly via his Youtube account and asking out what his intentions are. If he is not going to complete the book, you should request him to reimburse you for the amount you paid for the pre-order.
Feel free to post an update under this thread. Best of luck!
The fictional character Gordon Gekko once stated,"Greed, for lack of a better word, is good". Gekko is sometimes unfairly judged. There is a big difference between maintaining one's moral compass in business and that which operates in one's personal life. In business, the reality is that if you are not willing to crush your competitor, you might as well get out of the game while you're still ahead.
Thanks, Sega.Genesis1989!
Here is the answer he gave me:
"I only did the work for research and some of the writing for it. Its all owned by Pixel Nation who are still producing the book and supposedly future issues as far as I was aware back at Xmas when someone else had taken it all over. Beyond that I'm not involved anymore."
That comment really wasn't necessary. I'm sure that if you found yourself in this position, you wouldn't appreciate someone labelling you a "sucker".
In any case, has this issue been rectified? Is Pixel Nation still publishing the book or are they going to reimburse those who made a pre-order?

Good point 1989, my apologies. However if I was a sucker for something, then I would be a sucker for something - nobodies fault but my own. And if it was pointed out, it would just be pointed out.
I was saying without saying, be careful what you donate/pre order too now a days. Not even all kickstarters are safe. I know the guy made the thread and sent pms to you guys lately but yes the magazine did look very interesting and I was tempted to buy one so we could get volume 1 but it went from, "hey I'm doing a mag check it out pre order look at pics" to silence to people getting pms of "oh I'm not involved contact them now".
I see this type of thing a lot, especially when devotion to a personal/team project devolves. I'm not saying he is bad or tried doing this, but after reading this thread it comes off like that. Again not saying he is a bad guy or did this on purpose, but I just think this could have been handled better. Who got the pre order money, him or "the company that runs this now" ? If it was him, then yeah he needs to give it back, if he was just an helper/employee of whoever then who he worked for has made him look kind of bad.
If it's not going to happen, give the money back to the people who were the ones helping fund it in first place. Maybe I'm taking all the times I saw people get screwed out of pre order stuff out on this thread, but figured I say something. If he reads this, he can reply. I'm just going by what I see and yes sorry for those who lost money, or sorry if the guy was put in bad place - but be careful donating and stuff guys. Stick to what/who you know is reputable if you can, not every Sega idea asking for $.
I think you kind of agree with what I'm saying 1989.
