New OutRun coming soon?

Sega has recently registered a new patent Outrun Coast 2 Coast in US, which seems to be a new game in the Outrun series.

Hell fucking YES!!!

I hope this has some more hidden tracks (Rad Mobile or Sega Rally maybe?) and online play. I absolutely loved OutRun 2, and will be there day 1 when this hits.

Note the "2" in the title; it's probably an arcade revision of Out Run 2.

That would then have to be the special version that came out in Japan with more tracks and stuff. I could live with that, but would really prefer a full-blown sequel.

I didn't mean the same as that, I meant another one of those. Out Run 2 SP was distributed in the US too, btw.

Out Run 2 is godly.

Early whisperings indicate Out Run Coast 2 Coast will be for the Lindbergh arcade system. If that's the case, it could very well be a sort of "sequel to a sequel" of Out Run 2, but with next-gen graphics and some sort of atlantic-pacific theme.
