    Default Sega CD Drive door

I just happen to notice something. Did Sega ever put a small "window" on the door drive of the Model II? Right were the oval shaped indention is in the front of the door.

I always though that this area was clear so you can see if there is a disc inside or not. Well...its not clear! This is solid black.

So, does anyone out there by chance have a Sega CD that has a clear window to view inside? or am i just believing something all along that was never really there to begin with?

I have the earlier, first Mobo version (oval buttons)

Huh, I'm pretty sure at least one variation has a drive window. Maybe it was the Hi-saturn or V-Saturn, but i do remember seeing a saturn with a window.

Are you perhaps thinking of the Sega CDX? It has a window.

Or maybe he is remembering a Tectoy Sega CD, or a European or Japanese Mega CD 2... Anybody have one of those? The only Sega CD I have is a US Model 1.

TecToy Sega CD 2 and Japanese Mega CD 2 have solid black "windows" as well.

I'm pretty sure the only variation of the Sega CD with a drive window is the CDX.
