Agreed, I took a quick look at the sonicretro forums and found nothing about it. Only clue, the S2HD section archived.

It was alleged that there was a keylogger included in the alpha too, but it turned out to be a bug with regards to the directinput code that made it appear to act suspiciously.

Yeah, I heard about the registry setting that was getting flagged... and certainly no stranger to projects having issues, but it's the first I've read the whole story on it. Nice read, but certainly too bad. Hopefully it can be salvaged at a later date and turned into something solid. And hopefully without the ego and paranoia attached to it.

Maybe I should of worded that better. What I meant was is that they cancelled it and then picked it up again at a later date. (Or was the "cancellation" part a lie? can't remember tbh).
