Default Stuff that everybody loves but you're not into?

Facebook. Gotta be honest, I have no use for Facebook at all. It looks like a bunch of people pretending to care about the boring details of each others lives so they can answer with boring details about their own lives, which of course are fascinating. If I want to talk to people online I'll email them.

The Office. Yeah, that show that used to have Steve Carrell. I don't like it. I think it's boring and crushingly unfunny. And who the hell is holding the camera?

Family Guy. Not funny. Never was. Simpsons ripoff with more pop culture gags, except they're meaningless and add nothing to the story. If it was never on TV, the world would have missed nothing.

The endless parade of smartphones. I don't need that much convenience in my life. As George Carlin remarked, "Americans have been bought off and silenced with gizmos and toys. Everybody's got a cell phone that will make pancakes and rub their balls now." I'll stick with my $25-a-month clamshell relic, thank you.

Political correctness. A little goes a long way. A lot of PC is pointless and irritating. Unfortunately, this culture has a lot. I don't like thought police, I don't like a media that pretends to care while shoving the same old stereotypes at us, I don't like speech codes on college campuses, and I refuse to participate in white guilt syndrome. Sue me.

I agree with everything on your list.

If I had to make a list of everything other people love, that I don't, it would probably take a year to read, but I'll try to add a few:

    - Widescreen TV's

    - Most current western games

    - Intangible Goods

    - Everything made by Apple

I was about to post some of my own, when I read the OP. Dude, you've received some well-deserved rep.

Facebook: A place for self-absorved, male versions of mean-girls, suck their own dicks turds (including women, of course). If it wasn't for the fact that I need it for school purposes, I wouldn't even have a facebook account.

The Office: I can't possibly think of anything else that more closely represents the term YUPPIE than this fucktard show. I can't stand it.

Apple-Hardware-Owners: (BTW, I own an iPod touch 4 myself). I hate the brand, I hate the interphase, I hate the inability to upload my own fucking documents to it, and I hate anything else made by Apple (includding computers and iPhones). Like I said, I own an iTouch 4 (and this is due to obvious necessary reasons, as it was, at the time, 2010, the most reliable non-smart-phone PDA style thingamagik that would let me use e-Pocrates and other Medical apps; but as I've said, I hate Apple.

Twitter. I think Twitter is ok for news stuff and if you are someone who's famous and people want to hear from you but I dont need to know what the average Joe or Sally is thinking or doing. Apple I'm not a huge fan of but the ipod is probably the best gadget I ever purchased and better than any vg console. I dont mind smart phones really its just that I do no want a very high monthly phone bill.

Some good stuff here; most of which I agree with.

Apple: Whilst I hate Apple and their shitty products, it's the followers of it that pisses me off more. Ex. Person has Ipad; Ipad 2 is released, said person goes out on day of release and buys the new model, not because of need, but because it's "new". Rinse and repeat again and again. Stupidity at it's worst.

Facebook: Tried it; hated it. Most moronic people on the planet; simple as. Twitter and all the rest of it are the same.

Television: I used to love putting on the telly and seeing some great new shows; but man, how things have changed in the last ten years; any show I like, gets cancelled and get's replaced by drivel, shitty, cheap reality shows. No fucking wonder I rarely watch TV now.

Films: Yeah, I'm prob sounding like a moody old bastard now, but what ever. Movies of today don't hold a candle to the 70s-90s; all it is now is shitty remakes, terrible and far-fetched sequels and over-use of CGI and other such gimmicks. Give me an original well-acted film and I'd be happy; something that I very rarely come across in this day and age.

I agree with most of what has been posted here, except for widescreen televisions. As a videophile, I prefer to watch films in their original formats in the highest definition possible. For retrogaming and vhs movies I still use a standard 4:3 television.

My biggest beef lately has been with the current state of the movie industry. It seems that there is one original movie for every 10 rehashes. It's getting ridiculous. If I never see another sequel, remake, comic book adaptation, television show adaptation, etc, etc, I will be perfectly content.

You realize that we sound like a bunch of bitter, cynical old dinosaurs right? Oh well, things were better back in our day...

I only have 4:3 CRT TV's because I only use them for video games. I almost never watch movies, so I don't have a need for a widescreen TV, not to mention standard definition TV shows/movies look better on a CRT.

You guys all sound like a bunch of bitter, cynical old dinosaurs.

Facebook is a great way to keep in touch with family and friends from around the globe. It's cheaper than making phone calls and easier than writing e-mails! I don't see the problem with it.
You're not forced to use it in the way a typical American teenager would.
Now Twitter, that's another matter entirely...

Yeah, but on average, I only call them a few times a year, so I don't have a need for facebook.

Fair point, can't argue with that.

Problem is, everyone acts like that regardless of age or nationality; the whole fucking thing is a hub for sad fucks who spend every minute of every day, reporting endless crap about their lives and spending the rest of it adding "friends" and "poking" strangers.

This is how it has always been for me. It it isn't because the masses love it, I usually thought whatever it was was a horrible idea from the beginning and then get forced to endure everybody talking about it for years or even decades. This applies to popular franchises in games and popular platforms as well.
Game Pilgrimage <-- Not as cool to talk about as it is to denigrate other forum goers.
