What I'm finding hard to buy is that you're so offended by something inane posted on a forum about video games that haven't been manufactured in two decades.

I've been noticing a trend of unchecked and even embraced vitriolic speech on in this forum. I make it a point now a days to not let things like that slide. Yes, it is dangerous in the broad scale of things for people to just slip into passive validation of such things. So when I encounter it in areas I otherwise like to be in I will say something regardless if that puts me at odds with the collective apathy of any domain.

Furthermore, these "bouts" are happening within appropriate threads where people choose to talk about these things frankly. This is the topic. The overall focus of the forum is irrelevant so long as mods and admin are okay with it. Nor, should it diminish the weight of one's words. Your complaint is completely superficial.
