A warning to anyone thinking about getting the Sega Trio - I'm encountering noticeable white horizontal banding on my setup. Model 2 Gen+CD+32X running SCART to an HDTV. I did not encounter this with the usual Sega adapters.

Have you tested the original adapters since you noticed this? Also, have you tried contacting the site owner? I'm curious to see what the problem would be. Thanks!

Double sided standard surge supressor for all the bricks with large spacing, plug into a free outlet. Besides I never really keep the systems hooked up, I put 'em away for more room.

Only the standard SCART hum that is present in all such setups. No more than when using normal power adapters.

No, but I will when I have the chance. I emailed him about it.

A thick line that moves up or down the screen (can't remember which). It's white and occurs during ground loops in an analog video signel of any video system. In audio and video their annoying. In electrical wiring in building (faulty wiring) it can be dangerous and hurt people. It's usually descriped as the current in the signel acting as alternating current of the utility's electrical supply between two devices one sending the signel and the one recieving it. Creating a buzz at 60 hz with harmonics at 120 Hz and 240 Hz. For 50hz with harmonics at 100 hz and 200 hz or something to it's effect. This has alot of unwanted effects on the quality of the signels being generated and received.

Can you describe this? I think I'm suffering from the same problem, and I always assumed it was bad grounding in the cabling somewhere.

RGB & S-VIDEO MODE NOT SUPPORTED AT THIS TIME
    that's what was bothering me.
I wonder if that line was there from the get go.
seems pretty fishy to me, these adapters cost more than ps2 slim adapters, and it appears it's just a cheap crap.

Hey if it gets nice and hot quickly, like the one adapter SEGA Parts sent me that also works with a SNES or something and a Genesis model 1 (two different plugs and wires coming out of it) because a company in Florida (ebay) didn't sell me the standard power adaptor when I got my VA7. You got a fire hazard! "Now you can fry eggs and burn down your home while you sleep." I threw that brick away when I got a real SEGA one with my VA3 (ebay).
