You bastards are making me want to get one of these.![]()
A warning to anyone thinking about getting the Sega Trio - I'm encountering noticeable white horizontal banding on my setup. Model 2 Gen+CD+32X running SCART to an HDTV. I did not encounter this with the usual Sega adapters.
He only tested it on a CRT using AV...

Could someone please describe to me what white horizontal banding actually is?
A thick line that moves up or down the screen (can't remember which). It's white and occurs during ground loops in an analog video signel of any video system. In audio and video their annoying. In electrical wiring in building (faulty wiring) it can be dangerous and hurt people. It's usually descriped as the current in the signel acting as alternating current of the utility's electrical supply between two devices one sending the signel and the one recieving it. Creating a buzz at 60 hz with harmonics at 120 Hz and 240 Hz. For 50hz with harmonics at 100 hz and 200 hz or something to it's effect. This has alot of unwanted effects on the quality of the signels being generated and received.
Is there any fix I can do that you guys are aware of from a general electronics perspective?
[QUOTE=Genesis Knight;482653]Only the standard SCART hum that is present in all such setups. No more than when using normal power adapters.

Can you describe this? I think I'm suffering from the same problem, and I always assumed it was bad grounding in the cabling somewhere.
