Being specific to RGB is what seems illogical based on current info on this situation. We all know RGB is created by the console *before* going to a video encoder, which can't restore graphics already messed up.
Wouldn't the RGB signals need to be amped prior to entering the encoder? It may not be the encoder that's screwing things up, but the amp before that.
    You can never have enough

Perhaps RGB results in ground loop when tapped, but signel going through the encoder for other signels has a different better connection the ground that doesn't result in a g

You can run different Genesis 2's with an A/V cable and Dreamcast mixed together, when one is off there is either no effect or the picture is at half brightness depending which is hooked up (faulty A/V switchbox actually mixes 1 & 2 input ports but not the last two 3 & 4). The point is different components react differently because of circuitry or other issues. I've noticed there was problem with the A/V switchbox with my MD2 V1.8, but my MD2 VA2.3 never shows it unless you turn both the DC and it on. Same damn cables, too. You can use a Y-cable (which is designed for mixing the L/R audio together for mono devices) to simulate the effect it has on Video (but combining to different Video signels as impendence mismatch happens when one is off but the other is on and the picture scrambles and becomes a horrible mess when both is on because the signels conflict). I've seen shitty TVs, mix both video signels from the front and back jacks (my brother had such a set a long time ago).

This 3 in 1 AC Adapter sounds interesting however I was wondering if anyone knows if the device has been tested by an independent authority? If you have this device, does it denote the SA, UL, or CSA certification on the unit itself?
The fictional character Gordon Gekko once stated,"Greed, for lack of a better word, is good". Gekko is sometimes unfairly judged. There is a big difference between maintaining one's moral compass in business and that which operates in one's personal life. In business, the reality is that if you are not willing to crush your competitor, you might as well get out of the game while you're still ahead.

Mine has UL on it at least..

I have a question for those who have the Genesis 1 Trio model.. Chuck told me the molded one was for the Genesis 1. Well, im not sure exactly what he ment by that, since technically they are all molded housings. But there is one plug which has a round shorter housing with a black tip, the other two has longer octagonal housings, and one is thicker with a black tip, while the other is thinner with a yellow tip.. Have i gotten it right if its like this:

Round with black tip = Genesis 1
Octagonal with black tip = Sega cd 1
Octagonal with yellow tip = 32X

Chuck has gone on vacation for about a week, so i was hoping someone here could help me quicker.

Edit: actually, he got back to me and confirmed the above.

Octanganol tip is one he has fitted himself. This would be a generic power supply where he adds the tips as required and slsps on a sticker. Nothing wrong with it IF the quality is up there. Myself I use a nikkon eh-5 9vdc 4.5amp power supply. Similar thing doesn't raise a sweat. No video issue's if I recall (my md is in a few pieces atm). I would be interested to know the output current rating to see how much head room there is.

I just bought them but I no longer see any note about RGB issues since this is how I run my genesis... SCART to component adaptor. Hmm.
The smell of scorched oil hangs in the air as a premonition of danger, while the engine gloriously shouts its war cry...

Throughout history, suspicion has always bred conflict. The real conflict, though, resides in people's hearts. This conflict has just begun.

My issues cleared up when I ratcheted the brightness down on my TV. It looks normal now.

Has anybody tried these on Famicom with Disk System? Of course I know Sega's model 1 official adapter is safe on them individually. Just don't want to take an unnecessary risk.
