Default Lunar: The Silver Star, different cd graphic style?

    Just a quick question..

Searching for this game on ebay, have yeilded several different looking game cd's... Im abit confused. Why are there several different looking designs on the actual cd? The cases look the same and the manuals too, but the cd differs. The ones im refering to are seemingly all US NTSC games, so im not confusing Mega CD versions of the game.

I did try a search but found nothing, if i missed it, please direct me and refrain from insults.

    Regards,
    grimm

There are seven different disc arts, four different back inserts, and two different manuals.

Wow.. How come? Not that it matters to me as im just after a "complete" game, doesnt matter which. But how come there are so many? Was it re-released so many times, or was there some sort of special edition thing going on?

They just wanted to release 7 art variants for collecting purposes - they were ahead of the game. Working Designs did this with many games. Dragon Force, Magic Knight Rayearth, and Albert Odyssey on Saturn have 4/3/2 disc art variants respectively. The Lunars on PS have art variants too; as does Ray Crisis, Elemental Gearbolt, Alundra, and probably a couple others I can't remember at the moment.

Ah, so the games themselves are exactly the same, its just what design you prefer? Thanks, this solves my confusion!

Hey, I had no idea that there were different art variants! I'm going to have to take a gander at each one of these versions! Thanks for the info!
The fictional character Gordon Gekko once stated,"Greed, for lack of a better word, is good". Gekko is sometimes unfairly judged. There is a big difference between maintaining one's moral compass in business and that which operates in one's personal life. In business, the reality is that if you are not willing to crush your competitor, you might as well get out of the game while you're still ahead.
