Restore, recovery and reinstall have different meanings in the world of IT. If you don't want to be misunderstood, don't use the wrong terms.

Anyway, the next question should be who the hell installed windows 7 on a 20 gig partition? It needs something close to 20 gigs just by itself.

This whole thread reads like a newspaper comic strip! Thanks for the giggles you funny looking people!

And congrats Thunderblaze16 for resolving the issue.
The fictional character Gordon Gekko once stated,"Greed, for lack of a better word, is good". Gekko is sometimes unfairly judged. There is a big difference between maintaining one's moral compass in business and that which operates in one's personal life. In business, the reality is that if you are not willing to crush your competitor, you might as well get out of the game while you're still ahead.

Dude. WTF are you talking about? I never said anything about "restore" or "reinstalling". Read the fucking words:

    Complete Destructive System Re-thefucking-covery.

Okay. And what exactly do you think that means? You sound like the sort of people who come into a store and say "I need more gigabytes put on my hard drive" to indicate they want a RAM upgrade.

Your ignorance continues on the same streak. I've been upgrading my own RAM since before you were 6 years old, kid. Grow the fuck-up and learn to pick a fight the right way. Quit dragging around your preconceived notions.

I've been working with computers since I was 6 years old, so we've been at it just as long. And yet I'm not the one who's offering incomprehensible advice

    I highly doubt that.

And, no, you're the one offering zero advice.

MACs are getting targeted with more and more malware. And you probally don't know that you have any on there do you? It's called MAC malware. I'm sure there's crap for Linux (though it's not as targeted). The whole immune to malware shit doesn't exist. I laugh my ass off when an Apple fanboy is denial about a virus on his system that effects him, but I sit here and be like don't have to worry about it because they didn't write a Windows version yet.

    Wait, what?

It's understandable the need to be in denial here. But I've been in this position way too many times. Just do a complete system restore and be done with it.
    Huh?
Just stay out of the thread if you have nothing useful to say, except attack and ridicule the people trying to help.
Besides, the problem has been solved.

Not my own words, the CORRECT words. System Restore is a functionality built into windows.
Just like calling the disk "memory", calling a complete format a "system restore" is wrong.

Yup, MAC OSX is currently the least secure operating system by a rather large margin (design wise I mean. Due to being a huge target, Windows is still the worst).
Linux would be less secure than windows if people downloaded random shit off the internet and it had at least 50% market share. X is a huge source of vulnerabilities, and SUDO too (it's less secure than UAC).
Of course, Linux being Linux, you can make it substantially more secure if you know what you're doing.

EDIT: Lol... did it again, sorry everyone, brain is fried from work -_-

I recommand downloading "WinDirStat" It helps you see what is taken space in your hard drive.

Hey, thanks for that! My computer is pretty clean of OS shit, but I've been looking for a program to tell me just what the hell is eating up all of my space for a while now. I'm guessing it's mostly old system ISOs and temporary Photoshop projects that I never deleted.
