Trouble with YouTube posts

I'm not sure what has changed but I can no longer watch videos in forum posts. I used to see a preview picture with a "play" button that would start the video. Now all I see is an icon that cannot be selected. I can still see other videos like the infamous Boba Fett - Horse. I can still go to YouTube and watch videos but not all posters label their videos so I don't even know what to look for (I'm probably guilty of the same).

Has something about the forum changed? I haven't made any upgrades to my browser recently.

Are we talking about you posting videos or other users posting videos and you can't see them. Be sure you're using the tags and that the video has embedding enabled otherwise it won't show up.

Thanks, no, I'm talking about viewing videos posted by others. I even went back and tried looking at videos that I've watched in the past but it's the same thing, just an icon.

Maybe that's your problem right there: Could be that YouTube changed something about their Videos, or you need a more up-to-date Flash Player Plugin. See if your browser's up to date, and if not, run a few updates. If that doesn't work, check if videos work in different browsers. This should do the trick.

The problem isn't over here, nothing has changed. Maybe you have an over-aggressive ad blocking plug-in or something.

Just put the link like the url of the youtube video . That what I do .

You're probably right. I do have automatic updates turned on. I'm not even sure if there are any updates for PIE, though. I don't get why it would play on YouTube's site but not here. I don't belong to any other forums that post videos, at least not that I've seen.

I guess I will try some other browsers when I get the chance. The only other one that I currently have besides PIE is Opera but that one has never played videos.
