I shall have to find a way to see how to recognize the good ones, then; as Sheath mentioned. I really love the original Xbox.

It's all about how the drive tray looks.

Damn. Thanks dude.
Got any info on other specs? I have a couple of mine that lost their on/off "ring" led light. Is this a common issue?
Not that I have heard of, but for all off the wall tech stuff I go to NFG Forums. If the search feature doesn't turn something up I usually get a response pretty quickly, sometimes I don't like the answer but they are helpful. And LED is probably going to require a replacement, I wouldn't be surprised if it would have to be taken from a dead console, which shouldn't be too hard to find.
I have four Xboxes; 2 with a Thompson drive, one with a Samsung and one with a Philips. The Philips is breaking down, one of the Thompson drives has difficulty loading discs, but the other Thompson and the Samsung work perfect.
Another problem you have to look out for, is HDD failure; one of my Xboxes is making a clicking sound, so it's not got long. Thankfully, it's the stock HDD and I'm gonna be replacing it sometime in the next few months with a much bigger one.

LOL it comes out that none of Nintendos games run in 1080p. They're all 720p. And only Pikmin 3 is 60 FPS, the rest are 30.
A retarded Sonic.

No online multiplayer in Pikmin 3, despite a local multiplayer mode existing.
This is pathetic.

Yeah, I'm kind of done with Nintendo consoles.
I have enough modern games to play between the PC, 360 and PS3 and will more than likely get then Xbox next and PS4. The Gamecube might be the last Nintendo console I've bought, unless it's years later when I can get one on the cheap.
I will always buy Nintendo's consoles, because they will always have Nintendo quality games. There's nothing unique about Microsoft's system and Sony is almost there, but Nintendo is still the only real pure game company left.
Less talk more action!
Nintendo delivering to there fans now a days.

i've got to be honest, nothing impressed me about e3 this year and I thought it was kind of a letdown. I miss the old days when e3 was huge and actually interesting.
Who cares, local multiplayer is always more fun. Most modern games have online multiplayer but not a local one, which is more pathetic and i don't see anyone complain about that.
Its not that i like the new Nintendo console (i don't) but what's so special about the others? With all the rumors flying around (always online DRM, not being able to buy second hand games or rent from a store, etc) how can you say that these consoles are more appealing? Also, compare to others, Nintendo has much less crap like patches and DLC.
Again, i'm not saying that WiiU is great. But i can't understand how the other consoles will be better when they will probably be much worse and more restrictive.

It's too early to say anything about the others. But so far I'm highly unimpressed with the Wii U, and I say that as someone who really likes the Wii. If the other consoles are as bad or worse, I can see myself sitting out a generation.
