Default Any good sites to buy Genesis games?

Other than ebay and game forums. Sites like Atari2600.com and 4jays.net sell older games, systems, and controllers for systems like 2600, Colecovision, etc., but I have yet to find a site selling large selections of Genesis/CD/32X stuff.

I already know about estarland, but their prices are normally high.

I'm not sure if I've bought any actual games from them -- just manuals, mainly -- but tradengames.com has a pretty large selection of Genesis stuff. Their automatic shipping calculator figures way too high, but Jason's good about issuing refunds for the difference.

Thanks for the recommendation on Tradengames. I had forgot about that site. Went over and got a good deal on El Viento and a few others.

I used to recommend Lukiegames... but, after having orders messed up multiple times by them, late orders (over 6 weeks? WTF) with a post stamp that is weeks later then when they said they sent it, I think I am done with them. They do have free shipping, but I've just found them too unreliable.

Y, Lukiegames is out for me. Their high ebay approval rating is only by smoke and mirrors.

Try TradeNGame.com The owner is a member on various communities and he is also a big Genesis collector.

I liked their free shipping. But... getting the run around and having had friends had late orders and been lied to (yes, I have the emails and scans of the shipping dates on parcels) does not make me happy with them. I've ordered from them numerous times. Had trouble twice... but it's the being lied to (and had two different employees give me two separate shipping dates, both of which are later than the original promised shipping date...) that is the killer for me.

Funny thing about Lukiegames is that they actually bidded on my snes lot of 13 games. I didn't know they bought there games on eBay. :P

EDIT: Oh I forgot!, they left me a note for the games they won of me saying

"Please write Ebay item number on box or include on note in box. Please note video games do not qualify as Media Mail. Items shipped Media will by checked by USPS and returned if they do not qualify for Media rate. Thanks!"

Where do I go to find my eBay item number and what is Media mail? Is it ok if I just shipped the games to them in a regular brown box?

Media mail is a really cheap way to ship stuff that used to be fine for video games until the postal service changed it's classifications. It's basically designed for sending really heavy things like books and blank media (CD/DVD/Floppies) without using the more expensive parcel post.

There are still people on eBay who ship games via media mail to try and pocket the difference, but unfortunately the recipient is on the hook for the extra cost unless they want to send the item back.

So it's ok if I just ship it as Postal? Cause that's how I've shipped every other item of mine.

You mean Parcel Post? That should be fine in most cases, I wouldn't try using Media Mail though. I've received some games through Media Mail and I haven't been hit with due postage yet, but they do inspect MM packages most of the time and that makes me cautious. I can understand game consoles and hardware not being counted as Media Mail, but having the actual games not count is BS.

Media mail was created by USPS in the 1930's for cheaper shipping of books and records. My local (small town) postmaster knows that I ship video game cartridges and discs and actually suggested media mail for these items. I have had shouting matches on other forums over the whole media mail thing. All I know is as long my postmaster recommends media mail for video games, I am fine with it too.
