Hah, I do the same things. I pismell the weirdest things sometimes. It's not like these posts are going to be around forever or anything.

It's funny that you should mention that! Yesterday I was looking up some information online regarding SEGA and I stumbled upon a forum conversation that was originally posted in 1990! Funny enough, the topic was a comparison between SEGA and Nintendo and which company was better!

We may not be able to view the full contents of these forums but there will always be snippets of information that will be archived deep in the recesses of the internet!!

The issue is not really with the term but the poor use of abbreviations. It would be best if individuals wrote the full term when describing the units instead of simply typing abbreviations ad finitum. Something that often happens here all too often.

Yes and that is what I said, the abbreviation and capitalization is important (I didn't know that before) so now I'll just type it out fully for now on.

"Megs" in cart based console marketing terms is always Megabits, so if you want to say Megs most people will associate that with the marketing term or Megabits.

Thanks. I saw on forums before megs didn't mean megabits now I see here people say it is, so okay, Pier Solar is 64 Megs/Megabits then or 8 MegaBytes.

Megs is only used for megabits when talking about these consoles games, on any other topic if anybody uses the term they are probably referring to Megabytes. So if somebody says a file download is 64megs they are talking about Megabytes. It's confusing.
