well.... I don't think Double Takes should be published so close to the main review...
but now that Melf relieved me from the commitment with Heavy Unit I'll try to focus on the next one in my assignment list

Honest Gamers spared it a few more points with a 3/10 which I think is pretty generous. Their review is also a bit less hostile towards it, though no less forgiving of its glaring flaws.

I agree with Kollision's review though and respect his opinion on the genre very much, nothing he said was inaccurate. I might have spared it an extra point because it is playable, just not particularly worth playing besides doing so as a shmup history lesson. I do appreciate some of the nifty innovations like the shop keeper and reverse scrolling. The economy in the game probably helped inspire games like "Raptor: Call of the Shadows" and "Tyrian."

You guys serious?-its not the best shooter on the system but i honestly think it is just different,it looks real good and sounds okay so there is really nothing wrong with it except it is quite difficult to play.
I think many people just cannot play it and so maybe need to sit down with a copy and give it some more time- 6.5/10
