it scales, it does not scandouble anything. It does not try to deinterlace the signal, but it has some weird motion artifacts.

Weird, I think a simple scan doubler would be the most perfect for the genesis, and if on a CRT, would even allow light games to work. Scan doublers usually has no delay.
