Default Jaguar XJ 220 an EXPENSIVE GAME!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

When did this happen? Somehow now it is a rare game and commands a high price? I had two copies and sold one with an old SEGA CD, am I missing something?

    Thanks guys

    Where have you been?

It's actually dropped in price... LOL

Though it's a tad higher now than it was a few months ago. But that goes with all SCD games shootin' through the roof at the moment.

Asking prices don't mean anything. If I list a copy right now for $10,000, it isn't suddenly worth $10,000+.

If you look at the completed listings, it failed to sell with BIN prices of $46 - $49. Which means people aren't buying it at the those prices because it is not worth even that much.

    Here's a current listing with a BIN of $30-

Maybe they want the game to be worth as much as the actual car is nowadays?

'Cause seriously, I highly doubt the game's that f'n valuable.

it's just the typical price gouging that happens on ebay all the time, a complete xj220 can be had pretty easily for $20-$30. someone here had a complete one listed a few weeks back for $25. a cd only copy of it can even be had for as little as $5.

Yeah, and part of what drives the value for this game up is the fact that it's a earlier cardboard box release for the Sega CD. Most of the boxes were tossed after purchase or are beat to hell by this point.

Yeah, early Sega CD releases like Final Fight CD, Jaguar XJ 220, Road Avenger, etc. are generally going to be more expensive complete because they're a lot harder to find complete.

It's gotten really stupid pricing for Jaguar XJ220 on ebay lately. I remember only a year or so seeing CIB copies for around $20. Should have picked it up back then.
    It is finished!

$20 sounds like a fair price to me , XJ220 was one of the best racers i played during the 16-bit era along with Lotus Challenge

I hated the game and had two copies. I gave one away with my broken model 1 Sega CD along with Sewer Shark.

The game is one of those in which finding it is harder than the actual value. It was the last game I bought to complete my US Sega CD set. The game speculation that happening on EBAY is getting out of control.
Offering a 6 DVD set(over 5 hours) of how to collect Videogames. Spanning 35 US consoles Atari, Nintendo and Sega. PM me if you are interested.
