Honestly with a split like that the other thread now makes little to no sense. Why not just delete the entire bit if you want it removed from this thread?

Do you stay in the boondocks or something. I stay in Nashville,TN which certainly isn't a gaming heaven and is not a big town at all.

Not to be specific, but google Whidbey Island and you'll know what I'm talking about.

I used the music CD to compare the music of the game with; how is that confusing you? Nowhere did I say anything remotely close to what you are saying, except for my original post where I thought the music was streaming directly from the game disc. The in-game music quality is on-par with the CD.

On par it maybe . It's not has good as the Saturn chip music and both don't compare the Mega CD CD music and speech .
    Okaaaay!

For start If I was you I'll post videos that are running the same parts of the game . I'm not in the mood to really set up the PS2 to the PC to record a video ; Only to say that even in the 1st sections when you battle , even Gwyn is better animated in the Mega Cd version , never mind that when you 1st see Hiro and Ruby in the Mega Cd version there's lighting on the background on the PS/Sat versions that's gone and there's a ton of other minor and small differences through out the game

It's not just one particular battle, it's all of the battles in general that have better animations for not just the bosses, but your characters, the spells, the attacks and the attacks of the enemies.

As far as the missing lighting, that's a pretty small detail when you consider all of the other stuff that was enhanced for the Saturn and Playstation versions.

The Amiga and PC were doing that sort of stuff long before the Sega CD. I was expecting the format to take advantage of the added space which would allow for Anime style cut-scenes in RPGs.

Why? You guys were going on and on into a tangent about whether it's better to play English RPGs or Japanese versions of RPGs with a walkthrough. Didn't really have anything to do with the topic, so I split it off. Not like it killed the conversation.

Another logical split would be to separate all these Lunar comparisons.

Yeah! I'd thought about posting it over at the other thread.

I know that. But the PSX versions don't use anime style cutscenes either. And they're worse.

This isn't an Anime style cut-scene?

My bad, not sure why I said that. I just didn't like certain changes they made.

    Yeah!

The pitcher/batter interface for WSBB 98 is one of the best I've ever played in a baseball game.

World Series Baseball '98 is a fantastic game, and it is also one of the cheaper US titles to get. I think I paid 3 bucks, maybe.

Hours of fun to be had with Home Run Derby and a buddy!

The Bosses sure, the Characters nope I don't agree at all . I don't like the re-drawn sprites and there's missing animations

As far as the missing lighting, that's a pretty small detail when you consider
Its just one detail and one of many . Imo the Saturn and PS versions just aren't as good . They don't feel or look quite right

The Amiga and PC were doing that sort of stuff long before the Sega CD. I was expecting the format to take advantage of the added space which would allow for Anime style cut-scenes in RPGs
There was some of of that on the Mega CD. Expecting early Mega CD games to offer what you were asking is just a little bit much; looking over that it took quite a while for PC CD Rom games and PC-Eng CD Rom games to offer what you asked for. The likes of The Heroic Legend of Arslan, Popful Mail, Lunar II Record Of Lodoss War done it , but its costs money and given the limited user base of the Mega CD in Japan were sadly weren't going to see much of it
    Panzer Dragoon Zwei is
one of the best 3D shooting games available
    Presented for your pleasure
