Is the Krikzz Everdrive any good? And what's it worth?

Is the Krikzz Everdrive any good? And what would a new/unused one be worth? With cartridge housing, manual etc?
And can it also play Master System games? Thanks in advance to anyone who can help me out with these questions

The Mega Everdrive mentioned costs about 2X as much. You can look on the Everdrive site (krikzz.com) to compare the features of the two. I only have an Everdrive MD right now, and I'm happy with it. The Mega Everdrive has some nice features, and I may end up buying it at a later point for my 32x/Genesis/Sega CD setup and use the Everdrive MD for my Nomad. It can handle larger ROMs, so it does offer greater compatibility with games, but there aren't many of those. It also offers fast loading, ability to use the cart as a Sega CD RAM cart, and a few other features.

I would search through the Everdrive forums (use the old forum link on the site) if you have other questions.

A useful if obvious tip is Everdrive won't change your hardware. Stuff like the console's region setting continue to behave normally.

I think that all sega genesis flash carts are way too expensive because nobody is directly competing with each other there is kind of an ever drive monopoly and they are too expensive in my opinion. Why pay $70 dollars for 8 megabytes of flash an sd socket a pcb and a cheap CPLD. That does not come near $70 dollars they don't even give you a new case one store tries to sell an USED cartridge case for $20 dollars and that means they had to sacrifice a cart.

Sorry I forgot the prices A pcb of that size is less than a dollar and way cheaper if he makes a huge quantity
The CPLD is an Altera Max II it runs for about $6 dollars

Oh wait we forgot about the RAMTRON F-ram I can not read the part number vary good and I do not know the capacity but I looked at ramtron's website and the highesty capacity that they got in SOIC 28 package goes for 10 dollars

I think he should have just used s-ram and cr2302 battery because $10 dollars is alot for that small amount to memory. Even if the battery dies there could still be the option to load and save the sram contents to an sd card.

What!? The same thread once again?

Answer: No, Everdrive is crap and all games look far worse using it, let alone the 11025Hz mono sound output limitation. It's totally shitty and all people using the device and and talking good things about it in the last years are just dumb.
It clearly doesn't worth the investment since it's far cheaper to buy all games, including the very rare ones, than just pay for a single flashcart and play all them. It's also totally useless to be able to play the many hacks and translations available on the Internet since they are all crap made by idiots.
Any ATGames Genesis clone is a much better investment.

Actually I do have plans to make a flash cart that is more reasonably priced but I do not plan to use those parts that I listed above.

There have been seven carts available from three or four different designers/manufacturers: Mega Everdrive, Everdrive MD, MD-Pro 32, MD-Pro 64, MegaCart, NeoMyth MD, RAM Factory - none were cheap, some with lesser features (no USB, no SD-Card, no SRAM) were affordable while those which took many years to develop and with lots of features were more costly.

If you think you can release one at a lower price, by all means: do it! I certainly would buy one.
