Is there a way of knowing a fake megadrive game to an original?
Its just that panorama cotton cart looks a little different than the other Jp titles i have.

I'm not sure, but the odds of getting a bootleg MegaDrive cart seem very low to me. Anyone else?
Unless you live in Hong Kong.
actually, i think there is a way..
most REAL game manufacturer prints the labels using "half-toning"..
a pirate uses a laserjet, inkjet, etc.. (though some can do half-toning)..
Someone on here or i think from another forum sent /posted some pics of an orignal panorama cotton cart etc..cant remember where!
Sunsoft cartridges look different than most Mega Drive carts since they manufacture their own.
I have a few fake asian cartridges from back in the day. On the cover, they remove any sega branding nad logos and usually even the company names and logos. Print quality is on par with the real thing. On the cartridge sticker, again no sega logo or company logo. On the back of cartridge no imprinted writing. Maybe a crappy sticker. The case sometimes is of lesser quality plastic.
Why don't you take a picture of the cart, then upload it and share the link in this thread, that'll probably get you better answers and results. If you have a camera of course.
One good solution would be to open the cartridge.
If there is a glue chip inside, you can be 1000% sure it is a pirate cartridge.
If there is a normal rom chip, then please check if the PCB is sega branded, if there is no brand , maybe its pirate.
how do i post the pic up on here?Originally Posted by megadriveworld
