Just why?
This reminds me of a comic I once read, In it you see a kid with a lemonade stand,
but the price of a glass of lemonade is $1000.
So this guy walks up to the kid, and asks.. "why the high price?"
Kid answers "this way I'll only have to sell one glass to reach my goal."
Imagine what it would have cost before the re-releases
Eh, probably a reseller who gets stock in randomly and keeps the price high when he's out of stock so he doesn't have to pay a relisting fee.
You can never have enough
because jesus is comin
too old for video games huh?
The reasonable suggestion would be that the seller's looking for an offer. On the other hand, prices on Ebay really can be quite comical...I mean, look at this.
Is there anyone at all who can possibly explain how hermetically sealing a game makes it worth three thousand dollars? And it's not even a super-obscure game or anything like that - it's Batman freaking Returns! They seem to have this "VGA" scale, and this is a 90 - which, looking at the listings page, makes this game worth more than "VGA 80-85" copies of the likes of Earthbound and Super Mario RPG...yeah, right. Is it even possible to really tell the difference between these ratings? If you're silly enough to buy one of them, you probably aren't even going to take it out of its prison anyway. Re-goddamn-diculous.
EDIT: Tell you what, let's make some cash. Buy up the tattiest EA sports carts you can possibly find from your local flea market, buy another copy of the game off a retro site that's all nice and CIB, switch the cartridges, laminate the box, slap "VGA 90!" on it and sell it off for three/four figures. We'll be rich, I tells ya! Who's going to notice? It's never coming out of that seal. Hell, a bunch of them probably already do that, so the hustle's been and gone.
The headline says its in excellent condition and right below it it says "very good." They need to remove the "excellent" from the title or maybe they are trying to confuse and fool people.
I think it might be a typo when he was entering the Buy Now price, might have meant $20 and hit an extra 0 by accident, didn't bother reviewing the listing. If you look at his other DC games they're all reasonably priced: http://stores.ebay.com/NuAgain-UpSca...=p4634.c0.m322

It seems he has changed the price from $200 to $50 but still that is really high for Sonic Adventure. I mean it is one of the most common DC games.
speaking of high prices, someone on ebay has a copy of earth worm jim 2 listed for $19,000.
$3000 Shining Force! http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...ht_1005wt_1271
Yeah you can pretty much search highest first on any auction and you'll find a seller who thinks their shit is made of gold.
I'm sure everybody has seen this?
-edit-
Fixed?

I've seen plenty of broken links but never one as nice as that.
Anybody ever bought one of these werewolf potions? http://www.ebay.ca/itm/MAGICK-POTION...item2a1fd3de7c
