Sad MD1 VA2 refuses to boot

Long story short: I was modding my VA2 Genesis with a CXA2075 .
Thing worked until one day the encoder started to display wrong colours. I decided to check what was going on.
I discovered that a capacitor on the CXA2075 side had desoldered. After resoldering, I hooked the system up and to my horror and surprise, the thing was not booting anymore.
I tried booting Genesis, SMS, SCD and 32x games , all of them failing to boot.
When I turn the system up, I notice some sort of slight "shoosh" at regular intervals(10 seconds approximately).
What could be causing this issue? I really need help here, it was my only working Genesis until yesterday. Any help will really be appreciated.

As I said before in MSN Messenger, check over the entire system for bridged traces, like from bits of metal or solder. Make sure nothing is bridging the pins on QFPs, DIP ICs, caps or any other part of the PCB.

My selling thread, modded SMS system and games, Neo Geo games and more!

Wash entire mobo with soap water and let it dry couple hours in the sunshine. Then check your modifications, you may have accidentally cut one trace or soldered a bridge in couple pins. Remove the cap and replace it with same value. Spray cold aircan to all caps and boot the console, see if console starts then suddenly when warming again stops, you have a faulty cap. Spraying cold air is good for single cap testing on mobo, start from near the powersupply ones, spray cold try boot, then again and try boot and this wway you may find your defect cap.

Be true to yourself. GFX doesn't matter, the game does. If you are intrested to donate one NTSC Genesis for hardware testing purposes, please pm me.

I have to add that the YM2612 gets too hot. Will it be because of a broken cap?
I have already replaced all of them, except for one

Almost sounds like somethings shorting out, or supplying improper current, or somehow the chips fragged. You might as well replace the other cap as well unless it tested good.
