As far as I know yes. I bought a white JP one awhile back but have actually neglected to plug it in and try it :O

Alright cool. For some reason one of the sellers on eBay said that they were only for the J console, I guess they never tried it on a US one since they're in Japan. Thanks!

I have a japanese standard grey controller (the one everyone likes) as well as a jpn 3d white controller for my Aussie console. Actually there is a seller on ebay selling new controllers made by interact that use the same shell as the md/gen sg propad6 that are quite nice. $20 for 2 (+post) with extension cables.

Tenuously related, but I also learned that a USB Saturn controller won't work on an original Xbox with a female USB to Xbox controller port cable. The hard way.
Luckily I still have uses for both items.
