    Default Phillips monitor only in B&W ??? Why?

    I have connected my Jp megadrive to my phillips monitor thru the av port and it is only in B&W i also have a 21 pin scart connection..Would that make it color?

    i read somewhere in this forum ( forgot where ) that sega genesis hardware
    isn't 100 % compatable with phillips tv's so i guess the moniters are the same way
    but if you have a phillips tv all you need to do is run it through a vcr and you'd play genesis without much problems and the only problem with philips tvs is that some music won't start playing so try that with ur moniter.

    Its ok now as im playnig my megadrive in arcade style using an egret II taito arcade machine!

    aww i wanted to build a wooden/metal homemade arcade machine.
