Has anyone played this? I've only heard of it from this Play Magazine review.

I guess I shouldn't bother since I don't know Japanese.

I think I have an ISO. But most of the Japanese only Sega CD games are games I'd love to see translated, and I could go on for hours.
The smell of scorched oil hangs in the air as a premonition of danger, while the engine gloriously shouts its war cry...
Throughout history, suspicion has always bred conflict. The real conflict, though, resides in people's hearts. This conflict has just begun.

I've played it. The game has one color: sepia. Lots and lots of text. Nothing happens, ever. It was one of the first games available when the Mega-CD launched in Japan. The music is sub-Genesis quality, and the Genesis handles all of the sound except the voices, of which there are only a few.
So you're saying it's great and I should pick up a copy on eBay right away?
Only if it has a BIN of more than $100.![]()
hmm, it doesn't sound like that game pushes the system to its limits, but the premise of the game sounds pretty cool, with the cruise ship and the bomb and what not. Plus, strange to see a game all in sepia.
I don't think there are any sprites... or even movement of any kind (other than windows advancing text) in the game at all.
ppbbltlb, movement! who needs movement?
Also, the game will give your Sega/Mega CD AIDS.
Well, AIDS is better than cancer, I guess.
I heard it was a very good game... Damn language barrier...
I bought a copy of ebay mostly for collecting purposes. It is supposedly a good game and supposedly you can get a translation of all the text on the net, but I havn't looked for it.
The game also comes with an audio cd which is good.
I played it for a bit today but I couldn't understand dick. Contrary to what Joe said there is a lot of spoken dialogue. In fact it seems as if all the text is spoken, so anyone who speaks Japanese but doesn't get on with kanji might be able to give this a bash and understand a bit of it. There is animation too but it's very sparse and not that great either. I love the sepia artwork though.
I wish I could understand these obscure Jpn-only MCD games![]()
Actually I played it again myself a few months back and chose a different option and all of the text was spoken. Must be an on and off switch for it somewhere.
