Tell me... how would I mod this?!

There's 4 screws on the sides (2 on the left, and 2 on the right) and two where the blue component plug is. Now, are those little circles that look like they would unscrew w/ a philips screw driver unscrew, and be safe to do?

I can wiggle the circut board around no prob, but any tips for sliding it out safely?

Or... I could cut abouve the SCART connector

I didn't even unscrew those. So no worries.

I just opened up the case to see how I could remove the circutboard from the case. So I can mod it for stereo -- I know where the connector points are, but I'm fucked otherwise.

Actually, I think if I trimmed the metal above the scart connector, I could actually take it out. It'd beable to lift it out with my fingers (just remove the screws where the blue component plug is, and it should slide out.) Nothing else is stuck to the case, so yeah...

I KNEW that transcoder had to have adjustable pots inside of it. One of them probably corrects your screen alignment problem. Another might adjust the reds. That's why I wanted you to send me the damn thing.

To add sound, it would be best to get underneath that board. I can't see how to do that in that picture.

I fixed the problem with my TV... I went into service mode and adjusted everything. And *everything* looks better weither it be a TV broadcast, or any other video games.

still, you don't mess with the TV service menu.. you know, it takes expensive technicians to mess with that..

I paid 700 dollars to get my TVs colors calibrated properly.. it takes special equipment, that suction cups to my CRT, to do it, and it's exact down to the decimal..

You've got to be shitting me. Besides, the TV is 3 years old. The TV ain't worth much -- I've looked online, the shipping is MORE than the TV, and I didn't really have much to loose. Break the TV? OK, fine whatever, but it's a lot less to loose than spending $700 to have someone dick with my TV, and it could die the next day, even if the work had a warrenty. I'll do it myself and save the money.

What I did, cost me zero dollars, and the "service" menu, was, well... LAME. It was just less pretty looking, but with a few more options version of the "menu" that you can access via the remote. Most of the options in the service menu, I've seen on other TV's. I've dicked around in the past with computers and done shit that you need "expensive technicians" to do.

And it had a red BIAS option? You sure it said BIAS? That's one heck of a mode, even some HDTVs don't have that (that's a component only menu command)

I honestly don't remember if it was called BIAS.

It depends on the manufacturer if the word "Bias" is used. The only reason I would recommend not screwing around with the service menu is that you could mess something up if you don't know what you are adjusting. That's why I like the ability to change settings to see what they do before you "write" them in Sony service menus. I fixed an issue where the left side of the screen was discolored that way by adjusting the LANDING in the service menu. It made no other changes other than moving the discoloration completely off of the screen.

yea, on my TV, it has a "Backup" option, and on the motherboard of the TV, it has a USB port.. When you hit "Backup", the USB port acts as a FAT formatted Flash drive with "CONF.BIN" in it...

If you totally screw up the TV, you can just hit a jumper on the TVs motherboard (forces backup mode), and put the CONF.BIN back in it...

(oh, and I totally hacked my TV Joe, with that CONF.BIN file.. Remember my SEGA/NES menu changed to "DCTI"? I changed it to "BLAST PROCESSING".. )
