Was intending on buying a big shipment of games but didn't know where to turn for proper reviews. Fair enough the reviews on gamefaqs are plentiful but they mostly consist of normal gamers who toss out a completely biased view, slating games ridiculously over the top.

So I attempted to find a site that was not redundant and dedicated to the genesis/megadrive. The official sega site doesn't even acknowledge its glorius past, wikipedia was ok but again no reviews.

So eventually up on a google search popped sega-16 the only true md/gen site on the whole net (well the only on worth going near anyway) and by god was it worth the wait!

I found the Sega 16 website in Google after the research for websites about Mega Drive / Genesis.

You know, I don't really remember. I know I found it before Melf asked if it was okay to repost some of my (incredibly ancient) reviews from the old Classic Gaming Review Archive on the site.

I stumbled upon it one day, and have been a big fan of it since. I've been visiting it for almost a year now before creating this account and joining the forums. Problem is, I have so many questions and suggestions to contribute........but I can't post a darn thread yet and I registered over a week ago!!! Pardon my naivete, but what gives???

10 posts will let you start threads. This was done for spambot prevention.

Last year, amid a Garage/Yard sale craze - realizing I could now purchase all the game systems I never had.

I was probably searching for some info on the Sega CD or just retro games in general. However it happened, it certainly was helpful. Glad the buying bug hasn't bitten me again cause all I did was fawn over the stuff for a couple of weeks, hook it up and I haven't touched it much since. I usually emulate (for shame!) or play the newer consoles.

I was looking for Genesis reviews. This is 1 of 2 sites that still have them.
    Great site.

Sega-16 is usually the first website I go to when I'm bored (even ahead of Wikipedia ), because there's so much stuff that I haven't read yet or want to read again.

I found the site while googling for reviews of MegaDrive games.

Btw, this is off topic, but can anyone tell me why I can't create a new thread?

Oh, so you don't get to post new thread until you've posted 10 times in existing threads? Odd system but OK then!

It's to avoid the spambot plague.

Buy stuff at the Magical Game Factory, WaterMelon's crowd funding video game development site!

Do YOU have any games you want to get rid of that haven't been reviewed on the site and needs to be beaten for the sake of this project? Send 'em to me and I'll review and beat them! I'll pay for shipping of course. Shoot me a PM if you're interested.
