Default Is it possible to burn a copy of a game with different music?

Say you have a game with redbook audio, is it possible to rip the data, set up a new set of music tracks to replace the ones in the game and play it on the mega cd with the new audio? If so, how do you go about it?

Basically I wanna burn a copy of Euro Sonic CD with the American music tracks.

If this is not the right place to put this, I'm sorry.

Yes, it is possible. Check older threads in this forum.

They make reference to a program called Sega Cue maker. I can't seem to get the program to run. I've read that cues are text files anyway. Could I have an example of the syntax so I can make a file manually please?

Thanks, but I should be able to manually adapt this cue file as I need. Thanks again for the offer though.

I don't think so as long as you have the means to convert them to wav. Just make sure you have enough disk space.

The music is what's called red book audio. They're normal CD music tracks. Stick Sonic CD into a CD player and run tracks 2-35 and you'll see what I mean (Track 1 is the game data) To customise, you need a way to get a CD image from the first track. Nero Burning Rom has the means to do this. Pop in the disc, load nero, don't create a new disc, select extras on the menu bar and select save tracks. Select track one, change output to ISO and save the track, you now have an image file. Now you just need 34 music tracks which you could rip using the same process or select some from your collection and use a sound editing program to convert them to wav if needed.

ah, cheers- i'll give this a go in a day or two. i'm thinking of using a band per level and a different track for each of the regular past and future variations, i think it should work quite well if i pick the right music!

Only Present and Good or bad futures have redbook audio. This page from gamefaqs tells you the tracklisting for easy reference.
