Buy one from a store that will allow you to return if you are not happy with the product.

I'd probably go one of the LGs...mainly for the DivX compatibility. Also a good way to test if some of the image settings for the DVD playback also change image quality when you hook the genesis up to it.

From what I've read on forums LG seems to be pretty good with the firmware updates for their players. Hence they seem to be the most compatible with DivX and XVid files.

I find it really convenient to burn 10 or more divx files (such as for 1hr episodes) and not have to switch dvds every 3 episodes.
