    Default New Sega game unveiled

There isn't a whole lot of info, but it's supposed to be some sort of mix between Grand Theft Auto and Shenmue gameplay. The GTA influences are very apparent once you see the screenshots:

It is supposedly being made for Xbox 360 but nothing's official.

    Edit: It's for PS2

looks like it's more akin to the likes of True Crime, The Getaway, and Dead to Rights.

    Looks nice so far,
Lets hope it learns from mistakes made in each of those 3 franchises.

Oh true. Still, I'd love to see a Columns/Afterburner hybrid. At least it'd be a creative blend.

Mixing games can make some pretty awesome results. For example Rise of Nations (Which is a blend of Civilization and Age of Empires) is one of the very best RTS games in history, and the FPS/Platformer hybrid Soldat is endless fun.

After looking more at the media on it, I've warmed up to this game considerably. I think it looks awesome. The graphics are nothing short of incredible given the hardware.

If you really think about it Shenmue and GTA aren't that different genre wise. Sure GTA is all about crime simulation, while Shenmue is a martial arts adventure story, but they both have something very big in common, they're both real world simulators with high levels of interactivity in each game. By combining the two, figuratively speaking, you create a greater virtual world in which to play in. That's something I've personally wanted in a game and hope to see more of, i.e. game worlds that are as real and interactive as possible.

Eh, I'd rather just have Shenmue 3.
