    Megadrive Which games have scaling and rotation?

    Thanks to the unlimited, high-end, state-of-the-art, software-rendered technology of Blast Processing™, the Sega Mega Drive/Genesis is capable of sprite and background scaling/rotation, also known as "mode 7" (even though mode 7 is for backgrounds only) by video game experts on forums such as this. But which games use the Blast Processing-powered scaling and rotation? Let's try to list them.

    Scaling/rotation
    Adventures of Batman & Robin: Various effects at: 0:21, 1:57 and 2:13.
    Bram Stoker's Dracula: Software scaling on the book.
    Castlevania: Bloodlines/The New Generation: Scaling final boss (???) at 50:17.
    Eliminate Down: Sprite rotation.
    Contra: Hard Corps: Deadeye Joe boss, 2:11. Rotating boss later on here.
    Granada: Second boss (and a mini-boss on stage nine). 3.30
    Great Circus Mystery Starring Mickey and Minnie, The: Rotating sprite, 2:24
    Gunstar Heroes: Scaled Sega logo and vertically rotated title screen.
    Lawnmover Man, The: Scaling sprite.
    McDonald's Treasure Land Adventure: Rotating coupling rod.
    Mega Turrican: Logo at intro sequence and some enemies on first stage (not sure on the latter). 1:54, 6:20. Also this.
    Mickey Mania: Scaling ground. Also this: horizontal scaling house front.
    Monster World IV: Air Castle scales at 8:33.
    Pier Solar and the Great Architects: The mini-game where you fly the dragon and when you travel on the world map at the end of the game.
    Puggsy: 4th boss at 4:15 has true software scaling.
    Ranger X: Scaling in the intro, the ships flying towards the castle and the player mech moving towards the viewer. 1.01
    Red Zone: Makes lots of neat tricks, most notably the background rotation seen on the first level.
    Road Rash: (The whole game) 3:11
    Road Rash 2: (The whole game)
    Road Rash III: Tour de Force: (The whole game)
    Skitchin': (The whole game)
    Super Fantasy Zone End boss death, ending. 9:36.
    Thunder Force III: Scaling. 1:36.
    Trouble Shooter: Rotating arm.
    Vectorman: Second boss.
    X-Men 2: Clone Wars: Scaling sprite.
    Yu Yu Hakusho: Makyo Toitsusen: Whole game, fighters are scaled between two planes.

    Tilting (not actual rotation):
    Contra: Hard Corps: Tilting train-top.
    Chuck Rock II: Son of Chuck: The tree at the beginning of the video.
    Dynamite Headdy: Tilting.
    Gunstar Heroes: Various stretching, tilting and pre-rendered rotation at: 2:15, 3:40, 9:21, 17:50, 25:28 - 26:03, 43:30, 45:12
    Lost World, The: : Tilting car. Also tilting forest bg here.
    Puggsy: 1st boss does the awesome tilting effect that looks like rotation.
    Skeleton Krew: Skeleton krew has some cool rotation effect. Notably the first boss will tilt about. Just look at 3:10
    Vectorman: First boss, 7:11.

    Contra hard corps, the highway boss (Deadeye Joe)? Does that count?

    Yeah Wonder Boy 4 does true scaling too.

    You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to Kamahl again.
    Phantar: I'm not sure. It looks a bit like they used more sprite frames of different sizes, but it's hard to see.

    Chuck Rock 2 did the tilting thing, and Super Fantasy Zone had some scaling in its ending I think.

    Could be both, actually, but Gunstar Heroes definitely has both scrolling and rotation. I mean , just look at the intro:

    Also, not sure what it does would qualify as either sprite rotation or scaling but..
