    Yeah it does play about twice as slow as the arcade version. I got used to it and it didn't stop me from enjoying it for what it was.

    Just to follow up: I asked a fellow Sega-16 user (Lastcallhall) to try a few games out on his overclocked Model 1, one of which was Double Dragon II. He confirmed what previous posters have said, noting that the jerky gameplay disappears and things run "smooth as silk" once OC is enabled.

    Fully agreed here. Hitoshi Sakmimoto's soundtracks and arrangements are easily among the best on the system.

    Yeah, somehow most of it is even more soulful than the arcade version. A great pity it was wasted on such an average port.
