    Default Sonic the Hedgehog 32X

I came across this one day:

    http://info.sonicretro.org/Sonic_the_Hedgehog_32X

Sonic the Hedgehog 32X is a port of the Mega Drive version of Sonic the Hedgehog to the Sega 32X by drx.

The main objectives of this port are to present homebrew developers with samples of working 32X code and improve the understanding of 32X, enhance Sonic 1 with 32X's features, and allow Sonic 1 ROM hackers to make use of 32X's features.

The release of Sonic32 came in three forms: a pure port from the original MD version, an on-going ROM hack utilizing some of 32X's features, and the source code.
The original MD version works fine on real 32X hardware but the version that utilizes some of the 32X's features hangs on the SEGA screen and has no sound. Is there some kind of fix to get the 32X enhanced version running on real 32X hardware?

Have you tried asking at the SonicRetro-Forums? Usually the creators of these hacks/ports are involved in the discussions as well, so chances are higher to find someone who might know the answer over there.

Here's the thread regarding this port:

Any update on this? I was looking forward to using this, but not if it doesn't work on real hardware.

I'm interested in other things too like: does it support 15-bit color content, sound mixing with pwm, can we still use gems, SegaCD hardware support, and can we use a full 256meg cart with sega mapper? I'm mostly looking to port some games to 32x.

    EDIT 02-20-2019

Appears to be Genesis 16-bit rom while loading and shows "Sonic the Hedgehog Remastered v .2" Everdrive gameplay @ 23:20 youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XYc7rPi68YY.

Cam video and not sure if real hardware and 32x rom. "Sonic the Hedgehog Remastered 32x Edition" youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vHB9dSV9_Lg.

10 megabyte and possibly larger roms appear to work on "Mega Everdrive" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A8gjfzmt5AU https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5UtnxAnFWQc.

    Possible variants or alternatives:

Geeze it's probably much easier to clone pong and start from there or modify Doom to buffer 2d games.
