It's looking really good so far!

Although, I hope they change that HUD section in the top left corner. It's really big to just be showing XP, HP, whatever they are. I'd rather see that info spread across the top of the screen/into other corners. Those objects might be indicators that will change as you progress, but they could at least reposition them so they're not actually tearing off a corner of the screen.

Not sure how the physical PC release will come about, but I decided to pledge. I hope my DS Castlevania goodwill isn't squandered!

This is the first kickstarter, or any other "funding" project I've contributed to. I did the alchemist's treasure tier, and my biggest issue now is deciding what platform I want the physical release for.

"Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is now officially the most successful video game Kickstarter, having amassed a whopping $4.9 million in funding..."

I believe all told it raked in 5.5 million? That better be enough money to implement all those stretch goals. MN9's initial ideas were scrapped due to "tight budget" and all of that. It's easy to make ideas after all. I am sure that as the money kept on rolling in the team had to think up of more and more ideas to justify pledges.

I am excited, but I can let my excitement settle for a two-year wait, ha. I am glad they added in a GOG physical option so I can still have less reasons to open Steam.

The game has outside investment, they only used Kickstarter as a way to show interest in the game to the investors (i.e. "people are willing to give us 5.5 million dollars before this even exists"). Most of the money made from Kickstarter is for the stretch goals.
    This thread needs more... ENGINEERS

I wouldn't worry yet, it's not representative of what the final game will look like at all. It's something they threw together quickly to help spitball ideas. They've got two years of development ahead of them.

The free Bloodstained E3 Demo is now live on steam for backers that pledged $60 or more and participated in the survey, and I just beat it. Check your email for the key.

I don't really need to pledge since the project has plenty of money anyway, but i'm kinda concerned since Mighty No. 9 turned out to be so meh.

^ I always had a hunch that that Mega Man guy wasn't the main brains behind what really made mega man work. But I for sure believe IGA being put in charge of the Castlevenia series is one of the worst crimes ever.

What the hell are you talking about??? Almost every game in this and past generations in early production are used and programmed with a keyboard. And for the record, I just beat the Bloodstained demo with an Xbox One controller.
