I had no idea this game was developed for the Genesis. Looks very complete.

Have any other prototypes of this game been dumped before?
I would love for that cart that just sold to be dumped and released, but there's a chance the buyer will lock it up and never release it.

Nice! I knew there must be copies out there considering the number of magazines which covered it at the time. Sega Pro even published a guide for it which I uploaded here.

I hope the buyer puts it on a shelf for his/her own personal enjoyment. There's nothing better than owning something that rest of the world can't have.

    God!

I can't believe I missed on this. I've been wanting to find this one because I can talk to the guys of Factor 5 and may be even get a legit release going.

    Anybody know the buyer?

What the hell JVC, that's 2 games now I hear that you were planning on the Genesis and later cancel.

Except that this version wasn't going to be published by JVC, bur rather by U.S. Gold.

JVC was always more interested on publishing games for the Mega-CD (I believe the only Mega Drive they ever published was Wolfchild) and they have several unreleased games on that platform. Some of them are already dumped like TimeCop, while others like another Indiana Jones game which is a famed point and click graphic adventure, unfortunately aren't.

I've ranted about this before ad nauseam, so I have no intention of doing it again. But suffice to say that I utterly loathe the "collecting" aspect of retro gaming. Because of this, games that we've always wanted to play like, I don't know, fucking Dinosaur Planet, will forever be locked up in a glass case in some rich asshat's mancave

Am I acting entitled? You bet your sweet ass I am! But this is one of the few times where I feel that it's completely justified

I think Indiana Jones said it best. Regarding the cartridge...

But dump the ROM image into the internet first

I really do hope whoever purchased it releases the ROM image. Worst case scenario, they won't because they're afraid it will "devalue" their one of a kind prototype. Those really are the worst kind of people.
Does anyone know who the buyer is, or is it still unknown?

I would trust a two-faced senator, a cult leader, and a serial killer before I would trust a "cart devaluer"
