Alright guys, heres my situation.
My first Sega CDX I purchased back about 6 years. It was used and came with a controller and basic accessories. Unfortunately, it came with a standard MK-2103 Genesis 2 AC Adaptor (10 Volts/.85 Amps) since it was used and from a local indy shop in town here.
I purchased a second CDX unit from another store here in town a few months ago, but it also did not have the correct type of AC Adaptor. Just another common MK-2103.
I've done a lot of searching online but, for the life of me, I can not find the standard CDX AC adaptor MK-4122 (9.5 volts/1.5 amps) anywhere, even on ebay. I'm not really surprised by this since it only ever came with the CDX system, which are bitches to track down to begin with.
Fortunately, JVC also produced a similar type of AC, which was model# AA-S95J, which also has the correct amount of Volts and Amps which the CDX recommends. This was the AC that came with the JVC X'Eye. Unfortunately, JVC no longer manfactures this particular AC, and it's become just as tough to find as the MK-4122 in recent years.
Now, I've played both of my CDX systems with littler or no trouble using a standard Genesis 2 AC, but I don't exactly play either that often, and I guess I'd rather be safe than sorry than to risk either of my systems by using the incorrect AC any longer. So does anyone have a spare of either of these they'd be willing to part with or know of any place online one can be acquired? Sega-Parts.com lists a CDX AC Adaptor in stock, but it's just a generic Interact AC Adaptor that doesn't have either the correct Voltage or Amps the CDX recommends.
