Default Using the 32X on the X'Eye

Any reason this shouldn't work? I got my X'Eye up and running today and would love to be able to use my 32X with it

    It works.
You can't open the lid with the 32X attached, though. Although I believe there was a rare revision of the console which allowed for that CD lid to open even with the 32X in the cart slot.

    Edit:

    I found that particular thread.

Some units lack the AV din, hence no RGB needed by 32X.

    Yeah?

I was always under the impression that the X'Eye has a normal Gen2-style A/V out port in addition to the RCA outputs.
And that it lacks the S-Video of the JP version (you can still see the spot where the jack used to be).

So I thought all of them were like this,

Aah yes, I see some info now.

    b) A Revision missing the AV RCA jack connectors

c)And finally, the most common revision with both of the built-in AV outputs.....

    Interesting stuff.

I think my 32X is just busted. When I hook it up and just play a regular Sega CD game everything works great. But if I try to use a cartridge in there I get no signal. Once the TMSS message popped up, but otherwise, nothing.

Whatever the story is, not many photos of these RGB incapable ones.

Man, I love seeing that thing. It would be so cool to get your hands on one of those replacement tops from JVC. They sold them for a long time but I'm guessing they just binned the rest after they stopped selling them.

Wasn't it Japan only? That lid getting anywhere near an X'eye is a mystery in itself.
